Terms and conditions for online transactions
 

  1. Terms and definitions
    1.  ‘e-ticket’ shall be taken to mean the document that is ordered and paid for via the Kazerne Dossin vzw online web shop: http://www.webshop.kazernedossin.eu The printout is valid as a ticket.
    2.  ‘Visitor' shall be taken to mean the person purchasing an e-ticket.
    3. The prices listed on this website are inclusive of VAT.
    4. Kazerne Dossin does not offer individuals in our outside the European Union the possibility to reclaim the VAT paid for items purchased in any way.
    5. All agreements concluded between the visitor and Kazerne Dossin shall be subject to Belgian law.  In any legal dispute, only the courts of Mechelen have jurisdiction.
  2. Rates, information and questions
    1. For more information about reservation options and rates, please visit the website of Kazerne Dossin: www.kazernedossin.eu.
    2. For all other questions and information, you may also contact the reservations desk of Kazerne Dossin via reservaties@kazernedossin.eu. Please let us have the relevant information for your reservation (date visit, time, name, mobile telephone number) to guarantee the best possible service. For urgent matters, please ring 015/29.06.60 (+32 15 290 660) on weekdays between 9.00 a.m. and 12 noon and between 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.
    3. The maximum number of permitted people per guide and per workshop is binding.  Kazerne Dossin reserves the right to refuse any extra visitors in the event that the group exceeds the maximum number of admitted visitors.  The following thresholds apply to the formulas:
      1. A guided museum visit for school groups: maximum 15 pupils/students per guide. One accompanying teacher free.
      2. A guided museum visit for adults: maximum 20 people per guide.
      3. 10-12 trail: maximum 25 children per workshop. One accompanying teacher free .
      4. Me Sem Rom: maximum 25 people per workshop. One accompanying teacher free.
    4. Due to the limited capacity of the auditorium, an exploratory session can be booked for no more than 75 people. Since multiple groups may want to take advantage of this formula simultaneously, the number of visitors specified in the booking is binding. When you wish to visit the museum with more people than initially specified, please contact the reservations desk.
  3. Registration
    1. In order to complete an online reservation, the visitor is required to create an online profile.
    2. The visitor's profile can only be used for a reservation when the profile is activated.  For this, the visitor receives an activation e-mail which must be sent to the e-mail address stated.
    3. The e-mail address specified in the visitor's profile is also the e-mail address where the e-ticket will be sent.
    4. The specified telephone number will only be used by Kazerne Dossin to contact the visitor about the reservation made.
    5. Since Kazerne Dossin is committed to the discreet handling of your personal details, these will never be made public.
    6. By registering as an online web shop user, you agree that Kazerne Dossin will contact you from time to time to inform you of its activities and products.  If you no longer wish to receive information from Kazerne Dossin, you can stop this arrangement at any time by indicating this on your profile page.
  4. The reservation
    1. In the web shop, the visitor can check the availability of the possible formulas.  The museum regrets that its maximum capacity cannot be exceeded.
    2. An exploratory session can be booked for a minimum of 15 participating individuals.  Kazerne Dossin reserves the right to cancel this session free of charge if fewer than 15 people have registered.
    3. For reservations less than five working days prior to the desired visit, we advise you to contact the reservations desk by telephone to check availability of guides etc.
    4. Kazerne Dossin also offers discounts in its web shop. Visitors wishing to make use of these rates should present a valid certificate or discount card on the day of the visit in order to obtain the discount.
    5. A reservation is not complete unless the visitor has duly completed the order form and returned it to Kazerne Dossin electronically. Payment is made either by debit card, or there is the option to pay at the start of the visit. The visitor will receive a confirmation message after this operation.
    6. Individual tickets are valid only on the day for which they are ordered.
    7. The visitor is entitled to cancel the visit. Terms and conditions are specified below.
  5. Payment
    1. Payments must be made by means of the online payment programme or at the start of the museum visit.
    2. Kazerne Dossin is entitled to complete the processing of a credit card payment at its own discretion.  The actual processing is done by, and under the responsibility of, the credit card provider.
    3. When visitors wish to obtain an official receipt or invoice, they should indicate this in the comments box on the application form or via e-mail to reservaties@kazernedossin.eu.
  6. Proof of payment
    1. The agreement between the visitor and Kazerne Dossin is established at the time that Kazerne Dossin returns by e-mail an order confirmation with details of payment to the visitor.
    2. The visitor brings a printed copy of the e-ticket (the pdf document attached to the confirmation e-mail) to the museum and hands it to a desk clerk.
    3. Each e-ticket has a unique barcode. As it is important that the ticket is readable by our museum scanners, we urge you not to make any changes to the ticket.
    4. Tickets for extra visitors can be purchased at the museum on the day of the visit, as long as the number of people, indicated online, does not exceed the maximum capacity per reservation.
  7. The visit to the museum
    1. The booked formula starts at the time specified on the e-ticket. Visitors are advised to arrive ten minutes beforehand.
    2. In case of any delays and if guides and escorts were booked, Kazerne Dossin asks you to report this to the reservations desk by telephone on the number 015/29.06.41 (or the emergency number at weekends: 015/29.06.41)
    3. The booked guides and escorts are entitled to cancel their guided tour, exploratory session or workshop if they are kept waiting for latecomers for 30 minutes or longer.
  8. Cancellation policy
    1. Groups who booked a guided tour can cancel their visit at no extra cost by telephone or by e-mail via reservaties@kazernedossin.eu no later than 48 hours in advance. If this is not done, the group will be charged the full amount of the booked guides.
    2. Groups who booked a workshop can cancel this session at no extra cost by telephone or by e-mail via reservaties@kazernedossin.eu no later than 48 hours in advance. If this is not done, the group will be charged EUR 60 per booked workshop.
    3. Groups who booked an exploratory session can cancel this session at no extra cost by telephone or by e-mail via reservaties@kazernedossin.eu no later than 48 hours in advance. If this is not done, the group will be charged EUR 60 per booked workshop.
    4. Tickets booked via the exhibition ‘Individual visit' cannot be cancelled.
    5. Groups who fail to show up without prior notice via e-mail or telephone will be charged the full amount, as specified.
    6. In case of cancellation of a group visit that was paid in advance, the paid amount will not be refunded in cash by Kazerne Dossin. Instead, the visitor will receive a voucher for a return visit within 365 days after the date of the original booking.
    7. Any complaints must be lodged in writing to Kazerne Dossin f.a.o. Klaartje De Boeck, Goswin de Stassartstraat 153, 2800 Mechelen or via feedback@kazernedossin.eu and this no later than 14 days after the visit.
