10-12 TRAIL

For the youngest visitors, Kazerne Dossin has developed a special, engaging visit. The story of 11-year-old Simon, who managed to escape from the deportation train, is the central character of the visit.  A guide introduces you to Simon. Who was he? When did he live? Where did he live? Then, you find out more about Simon's story in small groups. That is how you put together your own exhibition.  After that, the guide takes you on a walk in and around the museum and Memorial, and this is followed by a brief evaluation and time to reflect. Suitable for children from the fifth and sixth grades.

CHILDREN IN HIDING

The travelling exhibition 'Children in Hiding' tells the story of Jewish children who managed to escape the horror of the Holocaust. They went into hiding in monasteries, schools and with private individuals. The exhibition consists of 15 hardboard panels that can be set up in your school.  We also supply you with all the documents and photographs from the exhibition to use in the classroom.  There is also an activity booklet that is written with primary-school children in mind.  The exhibition is suitable for children from 10 years old.
