All over Europe, 2 August is the commemoration of the extermination of between 200.000 and 500.000 'Roma'  by the Nazi regime during WWII. That is why from 31 July to 2 August Kazerne Dossin is screening the short documentary ‘Vergeten verdriet’ ('Forgotten Sorrow') about the ‘Roma’ who were deported from Kazerne Dossin and Westerbork. Respectfully and soberly, Gillian Moreel and Judith Laemont, students at the Thomas More Hogeschool Mechelen, let the children of the victims and a survivor of 91 years speak.

This film also links up with the guest exhibition 'Reflections. Roma in Belgium' on the 4th floor.
