Kazerne Dossin is working hard on the preparations for a new exhibition. This means that our current, temporary exhibition is drawing to a close, and we obviously won’t simply let this happen without doing something. That’s why we are organising a ‘finissage’ weekend on 4 and 5 December. Indeed, we’re giving you a whole weekend to discover #FakeImages
On Saturday, 04.12, we’ll therefore be opening our doors for you a little longer than usual! Drop by during the nocturne, and catch a last exclusive glimpse of the Langerman collection. Arthur Langerman collected anti-Semitic drawings, posters and objects for more than 50 years. This collection will heighten awareness of the dangers of stereotype thinking. We’re taking it one step further, though. Because, in addition to reflecting on the past, we will also provide tools to deal with these concepts.
A unique moment for a visit to the exhibition, with plenty of time to have a bite to eat in Mechelen afterwards, of course, or to enjoy the Christmas market. Saturday night planning: check!
On Sunday, 5.12, we are planning a whole range of other activities that will also give you the chance to visit the temporary exhibition. For example, we’ll also show ‘De Lijst van Mengelberg
’ (Mengelberg’s List), and there will be a live concert
. All these activities can be perfectly combined with a visit to the exhibition.
